Mornin’ yall! Right before we left Colorado, I turned in my third draft of the middle grade novel I’ve been working on since the first of the year. Actually, the past four years, but I finally committed to writing it in January. It’s inspired by the childhood of Ty’s dad! I absolutely love writing it, but it is definitely all consuming of my brain! While it is being reviewed, we drove back to Texas and I’ve been so busy with my funny farm chores & house work! Ended up cutting my finger cleaning the glass outdoor light sconces. Four stitches later, it’s just inconvenient, numb and tingly, but I’m so thankful it wasn’t worse. The week also consisted of makeovers for Uncle Tony and hair knots to untangle. Oakley and I watched the new Little House on the Prairie and really enjoyed it. So, we decided to watch the original show. I thought she’d like the new rendition the best, but she actually likes the original! The new show is good, but it just doesn’t even compare! What an awesome show. I’ve bought the books for us now. When someone asked if Oakley was ready to go back to school, she replied, “No, I want to stay a ranch girl.” 😂🤠 Hope y’all are ready for a great week! #ranchlife #funnyfarm #quthor
