Rosie’s Ranch Rescue

Rosie the Clydesdale horse and her cowgirl friend Oakley love living on the ranch—but that doesn’t mean it isn’t dangerous! When a pack of coyotes targets their herd of cattle, Rosie and Oakley have to work together—and fast!—to protect their beloved animal friends. This exciting picture book celebrates teamwork, friendship, compassion, and the courage of selfless love.

It’s a beautiful day at the ranch—cowgirl Oakley, Rosie the Clydesdale, and Pete the dog love playing with the new baby calves and laughing at their adorable milk mustaches. Even Thumbs the barn cat seems less grumpy than usual. But when a pack of coyotes closes in, it’s up to Rosie, Oakley, and their friends to save the baby calves and protect their home.

From children’s book author Paige Murray comes a Western adventure filled with friendship, bravery, and compassion for others—based on real animals from her own Texas ranch.

about the book Rosie's ranch rescue

“What a sweet story about real life working on a farm. Bravery comes in all sizes, and love means looking out for one another. It’s not just a tale about farm life; it’s a touching reminder that whether you’re two-legged or four, protecting those you love is what truly matters.”

My grandchildren and I loved Rosie’s Wild Ride. They are going to be so excited about Rosie’s Ranch Rescue being added to “Nana’s Library”! Rosie’s Ranch Rescue is a sweet story about families caring for each other. I love how Rosie, Oakley, Pete, and Thumbs work together and protect one another on this mission. Oakley learns that animals are not so different from humans in caring for their families. What a great lesson! This book will be a great addition to our school library. Our students will love it! I can’t wait to share it with them!
