Grinch Kabobs & Reindeer Cookies: Kids Christmas Treats

These are cutest fruit Grinch Kabobs and Nutter Butter Reindeer Cookies. They are so simple, not too messy, and the kids will have a great time making them with you!

Merry Christmas from Oakley Elf!

As a kid Christmas is (not even arguably) the most exciting day of the year. It’s a time of magic and wonder. Spending time with family, opening gifts, the candle- lit Christmas church service, carols, & making Christmas treats are some if my fondest memories. Oh and finally trying my hardest to go to sleep so Santa could come and waking up with an excitement that fills your chest and body.

Becoming a mama has brought that extreme excitement back! Seeing Christmas through the eyes of my little girl & stepson and being so excited to see the wonder & sparkle in their eyes fills your heart with so much joy. Joy truly does come from giving. I’m almost bursting with excitement for everyone to open the gifts I have picked out and wrapped for them. I totally get that from my Mama, except my Mama can’t wait. As soon as she buys the gift she gives it to us haha!

I hope you making some fun memories making these with your kids or making these for the kids you love in your life. Honestly, these would be so fun at a Christmas party for adults too. Or, you could make some and drop them off at the nursing home.

Merry Christmas from all of us at the TY Ranch!

Grinch Kabobs

Ingredients:

  • Green Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Banana
  • Mini Marshmellows
  • Toothpicks
  • Lemon Juice

Directions:

  1. Squeeze some lemon juice on the banana to keep it from turning brown.
  2. Slice the banana in 1/4 inch thick rounds
  3. Cut the top off of the strawberry so you have about a 3/4 inch “hat.” Save the rest of the strawberry for eating later!
  4. Put a green grape on the toothpick. Then a banana slice. Then the strawberry “hat,” then a marshmallow.
  5. Cover & refrigerate until ready to serve.

Reindeer Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Nutter Butter Cookies
  • Pretzel twists
  • Icing or Peanut Butter
  • Candy Eyes* optional
  • Mini M&M’s

Directions:

  1. Carefully open the Nutter Butter Cookie separating the halves.
  2. Put a pea sized amount of icing on peanut butter where you will stick the pretzel antlers.
  3. Carefully cut the pretzel in half. Then cut as shown. It’s ok if it breaks. You can make the antlers any shape you would like.
  4. Put the other nutter butter half back on. It won’t fit perfectly but should stick together.
  5. Put some icing on for the eyes and nose.
  6. Stick candy eyes on or mini M&M’s for the eyes and a red mini M&M on for the nose.

  1. These are really cute, but I feel like they are a choking hazard!!! I have four boys. They would grab those and shove the whole thing in their mouths. Maybe you could glue them together with peanut butter instead?
